Homeless photograph their world

IF you were ever tempted to dismiss the homeless as losers, think again.

These incredible images show London like you’ve never seen it and were all taken by the homeless.

In a project organised by Café Art, a UK not-for-profit, 100 FujiFilm single-use cameras were given to people affected by homelessness, asking them to capture simply ‘My London’.

Over 2,500 photos were developed and were voted on to find the best 12. These images will be assembled into a calendar.

The artful images show street scenes of the city. Some show other homeless and others are images of urban nature.

“Art is seen as a major way for people to recover from the trauma of being homeless,” Cafe Art said.

“The calendar also has a goal of telling stories from individuals who are affected by homelessness, thereby raising awareness in the general public about issues from a personal perspective.”

All the money raised from calendar sales will go back into the project, Cafe Art said.
